Thefts/Frauds/ Robbery
There are numerous ways in which individuals can be charged with theft, fraud, or robbery-related offences. Theft charges can vary from shoplifting at a department store to stealing millions of dollars from an employer. Similarly, robberies can range from using force to steal someone’s iPhone to committing a bank robbery at gunpoint.
What is Theft ?
Generally, theft involves taking something that doesn’t belong to you without the owner’s permission. Shoplifting typically refers to stealing from a retail store rather than from an individual. However, other forms of theft, such as stealing from an employer, are considered much more serious than shoplifting.

What is Fraud ?
Fraud is generally defined as wrongful or criminal deception aimed at securing financial or personal gain. There are various forms of fraud, including examples such as falsifying invoices, failing to deliver goods or services, identity theft, and internet fraud.
What is a Robbery ?
Robbery involves taking or attempting to take something of value from another person through violence or the threat of violence. It can be committed against individuals, businesses, or institutions such as banks. For example, threatening someone on the street with a baseball bat and demanding money or jewelry is considered robbery, even if the person is not physically injured.
